Artist: XE-NONE
Album: Digital Fucker
Year: 2004
Some good cyber metal from Russia I discovered a while ago. Xe-none combines some brutal and aggressive music with cold metal. They describe themselves as a ‘mix between Aqua and Impaled Nazarene’, but I would describe it as ‘a good mix between The CNK and Peter T?gtgren’s Pain.
Their debut EP came out in 2004 and it was blessed with the name ‘Digital Fucker’. It containes four tracks. I was already known with two of those tracks, so I was known with this music before. Anyway, I started with track one (logical, isn’t it?) called ‘Slave On Line’. The intro sounds really cold, but after about 25 seconds it has been changed in some danceable industrial metal. After the female vocals the male vocals appear, together with an aggressive beat. I love the chorus of this song, when these things I mentioned combine. After this one it’s time for track two, which has to be the title track of this EP: ‘Digital Fucker’. The intro is really aggressive, even as the rest of the song. Love the little cold intermezzo on this track! The third track is called ‘Crazy Shit’. This is the best song of this album in my opinion. Long cold intro with female vocals, but after a while the aggression takes control and that results in fast, blasting industrial metal. The female vocals are changed for the male vocals in this part. They return again at a little chorus between this aggression. Great fucking crazy shit!!! ‘Ein, Zwei Polizei’ is the last song of this record, pretty infamous chorus *wink*. This song is pretty aggressive as well, but the melodic parts are never forgotten. This song aint really special to me, but it is a good end of a very promising release by a very promising band.
